Tried the viral flex rod hack, and I have to say—I’m impressed! I started by flat ironing my hair (RIP EARS, YALL use what heat you think is best) to get a sleek base, then used flex rods to add curls without extra heat damage. The results? Pretty good! My hair is soft, bouncy, and has a nice curl pattern, but I still need to figure out what to do with the back—it’s looking a little flat. I originally tried the silk flex rods from Ulta, @mykitsch but they just weren’t working for me. I’m hoping to find better ones soon! To finish everything off, I used a lightweight finishing oil—Olaplex Bonding Oil and Bondi Boost Finishing Oil are my faves. They add the perfect shine without weighing my hair down. ✨ Have you tried this heatless hack?
